Bangalore’s plethora of lakes
Land grabbing, encroachment and lack of catchment is leading to the ruin of Bangalore’s lakes.
Apart from these obvious problems, our lakes have a great potential for public placemaking. Looking at the example of the Kankaria Lake redevelopment in Ahmedabad, it is obvious that just providing a fence and a walking path around a lake is not the only solution.
